AI-Powered Knowledge Management

Knowledge that guides better decisions.

Orunmila is an AI-driven knowledge management platform built to help teams capture what they know, structure it with meaning, and find the right knowledge when it's needed.

A request finds the right knowledge, and returns

What is Orunmila

A living, AI-driven system for what your organization knows

Named in respectful reference to Ọ̀rúnmìlà — a Yoruba orisha associated with wisdom, memory, and guidance — Orunmila treats knowledge as something to be cared for over time. Not a folder of forgotten files, but a connected record of decisions, context, and expertise. With AI, our aim is to make that knowledge far easier to find, understand, and use.

Capture decisions, documents, and tacit know-how in one place.

Organise knowledge by how it relates, not just by folders.

Use AI to surface the right knowledge, with the context that makes it trustworthy.

Why now

Institutional memory is leaking faster than ever

Teams move quickly, tools multiply, and the reasoning behind decisions disappears into chat threads and inboxes. When people leave, context leaves with them. The cost of forgetting is measurable — and the tools to remember have never been better.

~1.8 hrs

Cultural foundation

Rooted in a tradition of wisdom and memory

Orunmila draws its name and spirit from Ọ̀rúnmìlà, an orisha in Yoruba thought associated with wisdom, divination, destiny, and intellectual development. We treat this source with care. Africa is not one culture, and sacred symbols are not decoration — so rather than borrow ritual imagery, we take inspiration from the deeper idea: that knowledge, carefully kept and well interpreted, helps people choose wisely.

Respect over appropriation

We reference, we don't reduce. No sacred object is repurposed as a universal logo, and Orunmila is described accurately as a male orisha of wisdom — not a mascot.

Many cultures, not one

Africa's 54 states hold thousands of communities and languages. Ifá is specifically Yoruba; we never present it as a single 'African' belief system.

Wisdom as a practice

In Ifá, knowledge is something to interpret and apply — a practice of memory, context, and good character (ìwà), not just stored facts.

Knowledge, connected across a region

Africa development

Building knowledge infrastructure with the continent, not for it

Orunmila is being shaped alongside African institutions, universities, and teams building the next era of knowledge work. With sub-Saharan Africa's population projected to reach 2.2 billion by 2054 and a continental free-trade market of 1.3 billion people, we want to build with the continent — guided by its languages, its connectivity realities, and its right to own its own knowledge.

  • Build for real connectivity, not just ideal conditions.
  • Respect many languages — concepts like orí and àṣẹ resist one-word translation.
  • Knowledge should stay owned by the institutions that create it.
